The ideal candidate will inspire students of all ages to explore their artistic potential, develop their creative expression, and appreciate various art forms. This temporary position requires a commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive art program.Responsibilities:Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging art lessons for students across various grade levels.Develop a curriculum that exposes students to a variety of art techniques, mediums, and historical/cultural contexts.Foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through art education.Manage art supplies and maintain a safe, organized, and inspiring art studio environment.Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback on artistic development.Showcase student artwork through exhibitions, displays, and school events.Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art into other subject areas.Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administration.Adhere to all school policies and procedures.Qualifications:Valid New York State Certification in Visual Arts (All Grades).Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.Prior experience teaching art in a school setting preferred.Strong portfolio showcasing personal artistic abilities.Knowledge of various art techniques, art history, and contemporary art.Excellent classroom management skills.Ability to inspire and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and artistic abilities.
