Riverhead Charter School The Riverhead Charter School is seeking two enthusiastic and dedicated Bilingual Elementary Temporary Replacement Teachers to join our team for an estimated 3-6 month assignment, starting immediately. We are committed to providing all students a high-quality, rigorous, and supportive educational experience. \Position OverviewThese full-time, temporary replacement positions require certified and highly qualified educators to teach elementary grade levels in a bilingual (English/Spanish) setting. The assignment is expected to last 3 to 6 months. The successful candidates will provide engaging, standards-based instruction, manage a dynamic classroom environment, and foster academic growth and cultural understanding in a diverse student body.Key ResponsibilitiesInstruction: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, culturally relevant, and rigorous lessons in both English and Spanish across all core elementary subjects (e.g., ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies).Assessment: Utilize various assessment methods to monitor student progress, inform instruction, and maintain accurate records of student performance.Classroom Management: Establish a positive, safe, and productive classroom environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and a love for learning.Collaboration: Work collaboratively with grade-level teams, the bilingual/ESL department, and administration to align curriculum and support school-wide goals.Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians, providing updates on student progress and fostering strong home-school partnerships.Professional Development: Participate actively in professional development opportunities and school-wide activities as required for the duration of the assignment.QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.New York State Teaching Certification in one or more: Childhood Education, Early Childhood Education, and/or Bilingual Education Extension (Spanish).
