Dixson Elementary School, Elmsford Union Free School DistrictDixson Elementary School, a vibrant and supportive learning community within the Elmsford Union Free School District, is seeking a dedicated, and enthusiastic certified educator to join our team immediately as a First Grade Teacher for the remainder of the 2024-2025 academic year. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners in a collaborative and engaging environment.Responsibilities:Plan and implement engaging, differentiated, and developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with the New York State Learning Standards for first grade.Assess student progress through various methods, including observation, formative assessments, and summative assessments, and use data to inform instruction.Communicate effectively and professionally with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administrators to ensure student success.Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and 504 plans as necessary.Maintain accurate student records.Supervise students in various settings, including the classroom, hallways, and during transitions.Adhere to all district policies and procedures.Qualifications:New York State Certification in Childhood Education (Grades 1-6)
