The Elmsford UFSD is searching for an Assistant Principal for initial placement with the Alexander Hamilton Jr./Sr. High School.The job description of the Assistant Principal represents a high level administrative position in the line organization of this school system. Work with the Principal of the building, the Assistant Principal is accountable for the many and varied aspects of the educational program of the school. In support of the Principal, the Assistant Principal serves as an intermediary officer between the Superintendent and the teaching staff, non-teaching personnel, students and parents. Tehe Assistant Principal is a leader for the educational program of the building and is appointed by the Board of Education. The administration and supervision of this school shall be in keeping with policies laid down by the Board of Education and general procedures and practices specified by the Central Office Administration.The Assistant Principal is responsible for functioning in all areas of responsibilities in the school building as directed by the Building Principal and for assuming authority delegated by the Building Principal. The Assistant Principal also assumes responsibility for the school building during the absence of the Principal.
