The Full-Time Custodian is to perform general building maintenance and daily custodial cleaning duties and repairs of physical environment including light plumbing work at TLC. The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe environment in and surrounding the facility.Qualifications:Education & Knowledge: High School Diploma, or equivalent.Work Experience: One year of custodial work required.Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 lb. items. Maintain safety of facility for students, staff, family and visitors as well as confidentiality. Clearance through State and other mandated Background/ Fingerprint check(s), Medical Clearance.Skills & Abilities: Must be able to communicate effectively with others. Understand and demonstrate the need to be flexible in assisting with other duties and functions.Responsibilities include, but are not limited toMaintain the cleanliness and safety of the facility both internally and externally.Knowledge of building/maintenance codes to ensure health, safety and welfare of TLC students, staff, family and visitors.Maintain, organize supplies and equipment and store in designated areas.Restock kitchens, bathrooms and cabinets in a timely fashion.Inventory control of building supplies.Regularly inspect all areas of TLC.Assist with projects such as carpentry, garbage and snow removal and deliveries.Floor care including vacuuming, sweeping, mats in motor room, wax/stripping and mopping.Safely dispose of hazardous materials on a timely basis and consistent with applicable OSHA regulations.Inspect all offices, classrooms, elevator room, stairwells, bathrooms, kitchens and roof on a daily basis.Remove Trash in accordance with established procedures.Perform various tasks in moving or rearranging furniture, desks and other equipment; set up room for meetings.Notify Supervisor concerning major repairs or additions to building operating systems.Perform other related duties as communicated by the Supervisor to meet ongoing or future needs of TLC.Light plumbing duties.Must be flexible and work an additional shift if necessaryThe daily work hours are from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
