Under the direction of the Education Director, the Curriculum Coordinator participates in the activities of the classroom staff of TLC's education programs. Focusing on instruction, application of curriculum, and management of IEP development and implementation, the Curriculum Coordinator will ensure that each child's individual program is addressed within the instructional program. The Curriculum Coordinator will ensure that the school operates in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, and that special education data is collected and updated in a manner that meets all compliance expectations of local and state regulators. The Curriculum Coordinator will work closely with Education Director and Clinical Coordinator to ensure compliance with regulations, quality of written reports, and adherence of curriculum to students' IEP's.Qualifications:- Master's degree in Special Education; SBL/SAS certification or in process.- Students With Disabilities (Birth - 2) CertificationExperience:-A minimum of 3 years early childhood special education teaching experience that can be a combination of general education and special education experience. Leadership experience preferred.Requirements:Clearance through New York State and other mandated NYC Department of Education Background/Fingerprint check(s). Required to complete 15 hours of training every 24 months, including the mandatory two hours of training in child abuse maltreatment identification, reporting and prevention and requirements of applicable statues and regulations, and other subjects related to child health and safety, and early childhood development.Skills & Abilities:Knowledge of NYSED/NYCDOE regulatory compliance. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to engage in lesson planning, report writing and curriculum development.Job Type: Full-timePay: $85,000.00 - $93,000.00 per year
