Therapy and Learning Center (TLC), a highly respected Special Education preschool program located in Park Slope, Brooklyn, is seeking an Education Director.The successful candidate must have a Master's Degree in Special Education, NYS certification in Early Childhood Special Education (Birth-Grade 2 or equivalent) and NYS Certification in School Administration (SBL/SAS).ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize and establish school systems (i.e. protocols, policies, procedures, programing)Supervise and evaluate all classroom staffProvide ongoing communication and support to parents of children enrolled in the program and those seeking to enroll their childrenPlan and arrange staff trainingsMediate personnel performance and/or conduct issues or concernsCoordinate the intake, evaluation, admission, and discharge of preschool childrenServe as liaison with SED Regional AssociateCommunicate with CPSE District Administrators regarding school placements and student/family issuesHire educational staffPlan and coordinate classroom assignments of education personnel and studentsReport directly to Executive Director
