This is a full-time, twelve (12) month position offering an attractive salary and benefits package. Salary commensurate with experience.Cooperstown is a dynamic neighborhood school that spans grades K-12 with an approximate enrollment of 800 students. We offer rich and varied educational programs and have an active and supportive parents and community. The successful candidate is responsible for the leadership and management of the District's financial and operational functions. This position plays a key role in ensuring fiscal responsibility, operational efficiency, and alignment with the District's goals and mission. The individual will collaborate closely with the Superintendent, building administrators, directors, and department supervisors, to support the health, safety, academic success, and overall well-being of students and staff.Essential functions include but are not limited to:Financial Management: develop and administer the District budget, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; oversee all financial operations, including payroll and benefit administration, purchasing, accounts payable, state and federal grant coordination. The Business Official/Treasurer prepares and presents financial reports to the Superintendent and Board of Education.Operational Oversight: Supervise and manage facilities, transportation, and food service operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with policies; oversee capital projects and manage state aid applications and reimbursements; coordinate risk management programs, including insurance and safety initiatives.Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal financial reporting requirements; maintain and safeguard accurate financial records and documentation; assist in audits and compliance reviews.Leadership and Collaboration: Serve as a strategic advisor to the Superintendent on financial and operational matters; collaborate with district leaders to align resources with educational priorities; build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including staff, students, parents, and community members.
