Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provide first aid and emergency treatment for the students.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.Monitor and maintain license for controlled substances for The Children’s Center.Monitor safety conditions within programs.Maintain infection control standards.Maintain medical histories and immunizations for all students.Provide staff in-services.Provide tuberculin testing.Monitor/liaison between private duty nurse and program.Participate in medical/education program conferences for students when requested.Document and follow-up on all of the above.Complete daily notes on students via the computer by entering data in IEP direct and/or Preschool Portal.Perform all other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Educational Services/Principal, Clinical Supervisor or designee. Supervisory Responsibilities : Clinical supervision of LPNs. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience Minimum of two-year College or graduate school from an accredited nursing program and one to six months related experience and/or training is required. Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsA current NYS license to practice as a registered nurse.
