The UPK Teacher is responsible to develop and provide instruction to meet the needs of each child in the class while implementing curriculum that is compatible with the New York State Next Generation Learning Standards and the New York State Early Learning Guidelines. In addition, the teacher is responsible for ongoing evaluation and assessment of each student’s progress during the school year.We require a bachelor's degree in Education and NYS Professional Certification in Early Childhood Education Birth to 2nd grade or equivalent with 1-3 years’ experience (preferred)This position is an Exempt Direct-Care category and works 10 months/year, however; opportunity for placement during VCLC's 6-week Special Education summer-session may be available . During the summer session you will be assigned as a Floating Substitute Teacher, or Teacher Assistant.Starting salary is $38,600 for 10-month assignment, or, $45,000 for 10 months and summer session.
