VCLC is seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal to lead our dedicated team of educators and support staff. The Principal will foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging school environment that supports the academic and personal growth of every student.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Culture: Provide strong, inclusive leadership that promotes collaboration, respect, and professional growth among staff.Instructional Oversight: Oversee curriculum development and implementation in alignment with NYS standards; support differentiated instruction and evidence-based teaching.Student Success: Ensure a safe, nurturing environment that supports all learners; use data to monitor progress and guide improvement.Staff Development: Evaluate, coach, and inspire staff to reach their professional potential; ensure compliance with all staff development requirements.Family & Community Engagement: Build meaningful partnerships with families through communication, events, and collaboration with Family Services.Operations & Compliance: Manage daily school operations, staffing, and scheduling in accordance with VCLC and regulatory standards.Budget & Resources: Oversee resource allocation and ensure efficient use of personnel, materials, and facilities.QualificationsMaster’s degree in Education requiredValid New York State School Building Leader (SBL) certificationMinimum 2 years of administrative leadership experiencePreferred:School District Leader (SDL) certificationNYS Students with Disabilities or Special Education certification and classroom experienceWhy Join VCLCAt VCLC, we believe that great leadership empowers teachers and transforms lives.
