Duties: Putnam|Northern Westchester BOCES is seeking a part-time Leave Replacement Special Education Reading Teacher to work collaboratively at Fox Meadow High School with classroom teachers, families, administrators and other professionals to provide reading related services according to student IEPs and improve literacy across content areas. Experience with data collection and analysis, literacy curriculum development, and provision of in-service trainings preferred.Qualifications: Appropriate NYSED Reading certification and Wilson Level 1 certification.Characteristics Desired: Experience teaching remedial reading and teaching students with various disabilities. Must be organized, flexible, patient, collaborative and have the ability to work in multiple teams. Successful candidates must have a positive, can-do attitude and be committed to the BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
