Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates operating a 6-week ESY Program at Sunshine Children's Home & Rehabilitation Center in Ossining for students with disabilities from July 1, 2026 through August 11, 2026. Teacher Aide candidates are needed to work with students with disabilities in a variety of programs. The position requires an ability and willingness to assist students in areas such as: managing behavior, lifting and assisting to enable all self-care activities, mobility, communication, therapies, and feedings. QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to form positive relationships with students. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to observe and report accurately. High School diploma required. CHARACTERISTICS DESIRED: Extensive knowledge of instructional approaches for students with multiple disabilities, including those with complex medical needs. Must be driven, organized and have the ability to positively manage students. Successful candidates must have a positive, can-do attitude and be committed to the BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
