Harmony Heights High School has an immediate opening for a full time Special Education Teacher certified grades 7-12. We are a state approved special education school offering a Regents program. We provide a safe, positive, nurturing learning environment for students who have not been successful in their home school district. Our therapeutic school community provides academic and clinical support to students dealing with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD and past trauma. The candidate will attend annual reviews, help develop IEPs, assess students needs and provide instruction to students in classes of 12:1:1 and 1:1 as needed. The candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with our clinical and academic staff. This is a permanent 10 month position with a 6 week summer school program.
