Computer Science TeacherThe Spire School in Stamford, CT, is actively recruiting for a Computer Science Teacher for the 2022-2023 School year. One to three years of teaching experience with middle and high school age students is required and additionally, if you have exposure and /or experience teaching in a special education classroom it is a significant plus. Spire is a State-Approved Special Education school, grades 6 -12, for students with social and/or emotional challenges that impact the student's ability to thrive in a typical academic setting. Our model of individualized social-emotional wellness plans and our small group academic setting (classes are no more than 6:1, some are smaller) makes us unique, and 80% of our students are district-placed. Candidates for the position must have a demonstrated passion for teaching and a collaborative style to work on a team prepared to meet the individualized needs of each student enrolled in our school. If you have had experience with this type of differentiated instruction, writing IEPs, coaching students, and daily challenges then you are a candidate for this position. Our school has about 50 students enrolled and has a very strong, established team of leaders, teachers, and Life Coaches who collaborate for the common goal of having each child reach their full personal potential.
