School Counselor/Life CoachSpire School in Stamford, CT, is actively recruiting for a School Counselor/Life Coach. One to three years or more of experience with middle and high school age students is preferred. Spire is a state-certified special education school, grades 6 -12, for students with social and/or emotional challenges that preclude the student's ability to thrive in a normal academic setting. Our model of individualized behavior plans and our small group setting (classes are no more than 6:1, some are smaller) makes us unique, and 75% of our students are district-placed. Candidates for the position must have a demonstrated passion for education and a collaborative style to work on a team prepared to meet the individualized needs of each student enrolled in our school. If you have had experience with this type of differentiated instruction, writing IEPs, coaching students, and daily challenges then you are a candidate for this position. Our school has about 50 students enrolled and has a very strong, established team of leaders, teachers, and Life Coaches who collaborate for the common goal of having each child reach their full personal potential.
