Support students with significant reading and language challenges using multi-sensory, diagnostic techniques.Monitor & Track Student Progress – Use formative and summative assessments to evaluate student growth. Document student achievement and collaborate with the team to adjust instructional strategies and interventions.Ensure a Supportive Learning Environment – Teach reading strategies that support success in content areas like science and social studies. Create an inclusive, responsive space for students with language-based learning differences.Collaborate with Teachers & Families – Work closely with teachers, service providers, and families to support students’ academic, social, and emotional development. Serve as a resource to staff on reading instruction and language acquisition.Required Qualifications:Master’s degree in education, reading, or a related fieldValid Connecticut state license with endorsement 102 – Remedial Reading and Remedial Language Arts (Grades 1–12), or eligibility for licensureCertification or training in Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or a multi-sensory approach to readingMinimum of 2 years experience working with special education students with language-based learning differencesKnowledge of the IEP process and experience with progress monitoringReady to Make an Impact?
