We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and organized Special Education Teacher to support our students during a short-term leave of absence. This role is vital in ensuring our students continue to receive high-quality instruction and support in a stable, nurturing environment. This position is at minimum Mid February to Mid March.Key ResponsibilitiesInstructional Delivery: Implement existing lesson plans and adapt curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students in [Specific Setting, e.g., Self-Contained / ICT / Resource Room].IEP Compliance: Maintain progress monitoring, ensure accommodations are provided, and attend any scheduled CSE/IEP meetings during the leave period.Behavioral Support: Utilize positive behavior intervention strategies to foster a safe and productive classroom culture.Collaboration: Work closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers (OT/PT/Speech), and general education teachers to ensure a seamless transition for the students.QualificationsCertification: Valid [State] Teaching Certification in Special Education (Students with Disabilities, Grades 1–6).Experience: Previous experience in an elementary special education setting is highly preferred.Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to build quick rapport with students and staff.
