Job Posting: Secretary to the Director of Special Education and PPSElmsford Union Free School District is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and discreet Secretary to the Director of Special Education and PPS. This vital role provides comprehensive administrative support to the Director, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Special Education and Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) departments.The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of duties, with a strong emphasis on maintaining strict confidentiality regarding sensitive student information, individualized education programs (IEPs), 504 plans, and all confidential communications.Civil Service Title Options: Secretary to Principal or Secretary to School AdministratorResponsibilities: • Manage the Director's calendar, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings. • Prepare and disseminate correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents. • Maintain accurate and organized physical and electronic filing systems, ensuring the security of confidential records. • Process incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails, and mail, exercising discretion and professional judgment. • Assist with the preparation and submission of state and federal reports related to special education and PPS. • Coordinate and track special education meetings, including Committee on Special Education (CSE) and Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) meetings. • Liaise with district staff, parents, students, and external agencies with professionalism and a commitment to confidentiality. • Order and maintain office supplies and materials. • Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support the Director and department.Familiarity with Eschool Data and Frontline IEP Direct is preferred
