Number of Positions: 1Salary: $86,057 - $91,000, commensurate with experience Location: Varies, some travel requiredWork Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00-4:00The Coordinator for Curriculum and Instruction provides support for shared curriculum & instruction services, including facilitation and leadership for curriculum alignment & revision to the NYS Learning Standards, instructional design, implementation, support for instructional delivery at the classroom level, and use of data driven decision-making in component school districts and/or BOCES based on individual needs.Works in component school districts and the BOCES as assigned to identify necessary curriculum development projects. Provides direct curricular and instructional support for the component school districts.Meets with participating component district and BOCES leadership team members to establish goals and outcomes.Provides staff development, technical assistance, instructional coaching and facilitation of professional development activities in assigned component districts, and on occasion in BOCES. Monitors and reports on progress and analyzes reasons for variance in each participating component district. Ensures that all activities are conducted in accordance with established professional standards and protocols.Researches local, state, and national trends and best practices in staff and curriculum development, instruction, assessment, data analysis and school improvement planning, and integrates this information into professional development programs and support provided to component school personnel.Develops a work plan to provide program options that will meet the present and future educational staff/curriculum development needs of the participating component school districts.Provides instructional support to component district teachers through formative measures & feedback cycles (instructional coaching).Participation in state meetings and the development and presentation of regional professional development as needed.Performs other duties and/or special projects as assigned by the Lead Coordinator for Curriculum & Instruction.Minimum Requirements NYS School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS) Certification, or NYS School District Administrator (SDA), or NYS School Building Leader Certification, or NYS School District Leader CertificationBachelor’s Degree/Master’s Degree in related fieldSuccessful administrative experience (minimum 1-2 years), preferredSuccessful classroom teaching experience (minimum 6 years in lieu of administrative experience)Knowledge of New York State Learning Standards and AssessmentsDemonstrated experience, interest and aptitude in staff and professional development, curriculum development, instructional delivery models, instructional coaching, and data-driven decision making.Diverse candidates are encouraged to apply
