Responsibilities: Work Based Learning Coordinator will work with CTE instructors and business partners to develop work experiences and internships for students enrolled in CTE Programs. The purpose is to engage students with employers to provide structured learning experiences in real world settings related to the students CTE program. Documentation for Work Based Learning and CDOS requirements Develop internship opportunities for students in cooperation with CTE instructors. Monitor and report on student progress toward hours completion. Implement / Monitor Work Based Learning Regulations Organize and plan Work-based Learning opportunities to support program curriculum Collaborate with students and mentors to promote understanding of internship goals. Collaborate with CTE Instructors and Business partners to identify and develop meaningful Work-based learning and internship experiences for students Assist in preparing students for interviews and placements to businesses Use performance-based measurement Work-Based Learning plan and/or as measure of competencies and skill-building tool, and as a support for employer Complete and manage all paperwork related to work-based learning/internship experiences Serve as a liaison to businesses after placement to troubleshoot issues in a professional manner Collect and submit participant data or reports on scheduled deadlines in required format Work-based learning services would include assisting staff and students with successful workplace transitions. The work-based learning experience counts towards the completion of credentials. Students can earn high school credit for participating in a work-based learning experience.
