Secondary Math Teacher Certified Position Full-Time, 10-Month position with summer hours available Affiliation: Teacher’s Association P-Tech Academy Location: TC3 Campus, Dryden, NY TST P-TECH (Pathways in Technology Early College High School) is an innovative program that blends high school, college, and workplace learning through a Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach with a focus on technology and STEAM. Students will have up to six years to receive both a high school diploma and a free associate's degree from Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3), along with real-world experience and essential soft skills. We are a close-knit, forward-thinking team committed to reimagining education for the 21st century. By collaborating with TC3, business partners, and one another, we design meaningful and relevant learning experiences that empower all students to take ownership of their education and prepare for the future. TST P-TECH is seeking an innovative and dynamic Math Teacher. This position is perfect for an educator who thrives on guiding students through hands-on, real-world challenges. Instruction focuses on deep understanding, critical thinking, and meaningful application—not just test prep. DUTIES: • Provide engaging, inquiry-based high school mathematics instruction aligned with NYS Mathematics Standards • Design and implement curriculum with flexibility to prioritize content based on student needs in an early college high school setting • Create an inclusive instructional environment that supports diverse learners, critical problem solving abilities, and independent thinkers • Collaborate with colleagues to develop Project-Based Learning (PBL) or Problem Based Learning (PrBL) units • Build supportive relationships with students and contribute to a welcoming and affirming school culture • Promote student academic growth and attainment of pathway goals • Work collaboratively as part of a small, supportive team focused on innovative education and restorative practices • Demonstrate flexibility, creativity, and innovative thinking • Teach courses ranging from Algebra through Calculus (preferred but not required) • Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: • New York State Teacher Certification in Mathematics (7-12) required • Certification in additional content areas is a plus • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills • Ability to work effectively as a team player • Proficiency with instructional technology and classroom management systems • Commitment to student-centered, innovative teaching START DATE: As soon as possible SALARY RANGE: $56,500.00 (2025-2026 base salary plus additional salary credit for graduate credits, Master’s Degree and prior related experience.
