TITLE: BUSINESS & INDUSTRY TRAINER: ADULT EDUCATIONPhysical Fitness Trainer Part-time, Hourly Position Location: T-S-T BOCES Campus Courses offered throughout the year as needed Adult Education Department 20-hour program offered as needed Instructor will be responsible for the development of an adult education Physical Fitness Training program. Instructor will work to prepare and train entry level participants for safe physical fitness participation focusing on safe movements, machine usage, weight usage and appropriate levels of cardio work. . Focus will be on providing on-going training opportunities for the adults in our community to meet the growing push for a health lifestyle and workforce. Instructor will develop the curriculum, lesson plans and related projects, set up classroom space and evaluate student progress. Instructor will develop and maintain excellent working relationships with business and industry professionals. QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred New York State Teacher Certification in physical fitness or physical education. Must be a team player, have excellent communication skills and be willing to work with adults from various educational and professional backgrounds. The preferred candidate will have at least 4 years of full time experience in teaching physical fitness.In addition the preferred candidate must have:-experience with first aid, cpr and other general health care / safety procedures-experience with establishing safe and user friendly workout routines for adult learners. -experience with utilizing various equipment available in our facility.-All Certifications must be maintained and kept up to date.
