DUTIES: Responsible for providing engaging high school instruction along with a regular education co- teacher in the areas of social studies, mathematics, science, reading and writing, and technology to high school aged students. Teacher works with colleague to prioritize content and design curricula that meets the learning needs of our students. Teacher will collaborate with other teachers to develop PBL units of instruction. Develops supportive relationships with students, advances positive school culture and promotes attainment of academic goals. Must be a flexible, out of the box thinker who is able to work as a member of a small, supportive team of educators dedicated to alternative education and restorative practices. Required to maintain student records consistent with State and Federal regulations. Performs other duties as required and assigned by supervisor including speaking with our business partners.QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold New York State Teacher Certification in SWD 7-12 Generalist OR SWD Content Specialist Grades 7-12 OR Permanent K-12 Special Education Teaching Certification.START DATE: September 1, 2022SALARY: $50,000.00 (2022-2023 base salary), plus additional salary credit for appropriate prior experience, Masters Degree and Grad Credits.
