The Regional School Success Department’s mission is to support the districts in the TST region with high-quality resources and services, so that each and every student in our area has access to equitable educational opportunities. The Coordinator of Professional Learning collaborates with a variety of stakeholders both at BOCES and in the component districts to bring relevant professional learning opportunities to the TST region. The coordinator’s responsibilities include:Supporting the implementation of NYSED initiatives and frameworks, including NY Inspires, NYS-STEPS, P- 20 Literacy, the Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education Framework, NYS Teaching Standards and PSELs, as well as the K-12 learning standards in all content areas across the region;Planning and delivering professional development opportunities, including large-scale regional events, collaborative workshops, and individual consultation with educators on a variety of topics;Guiding Instructional Specialists and prospective vendors/consultants in developing effective professional learning sessions, including providing feedback on their work and supporting their own continuous growth;Maintaining the RSS Department’s internal systems for responding to requests for service, managing districts’ funds, communicating with component districts about upcoming opportunities, and registering participants for events;Attending regular meetings with our BOCES partners in neighboring regions as well as participating in Staff/Curriculum Development Network (SCDN) events (requires travel); andManaging other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Regional School Success.The successful candidate for this position will:• Demonstrate a deep knowledge of research-based, culturally responsive pedagogy and a commitment to equitable educational opportunities for all students;• Deliver engaging and relevant professional learning aligned with the NYS Professional Development Standards and the principles of Adult Learning Theory;• Collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, with the ability to tactfully give and graciously receive feedback;• Have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail;• Solve problems creatively and collaboratively; and• Lead others through example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and relentless focus on providing educational opportunities to all students.QUALIFICATIONS:• New York State Permanent Teaching Certification required.• New York State Public School Administrator (SAS/SDA) Certification required.• A minimum of five years of successful educational leadership and/or professional development experience.START DATE: July 1, 2025SALARY RANGE: $76,500 - $90,000 based on qualifications and experience.
