TITLE: BUSINESS & INDUSTRY TRAINER: ServSafe®Part-time, Hourly Position Location: T-S-T BOCES Campus & Tioga PlaceCourses offered throughout the year as needed Adult Education Department20 hour program offered as neededTrainer will be responsible for the development of an adult education ServSafe® Must be able to explain and teach adult students from various backgrounds, cultures, ages and experience levels and provide comprehensive instruction in all the ServSafe® certified subjects.DUTIES:• Ability to communicate effectively with adult learners and to maintain good relationships with staff and students.• Ability to demonstrate competence in areas expected to teach.• Ability to plan, organize and communicate quality instruction.• Maintain student attendance records and certificates.• Be a certified instructor in the following ServSafe® areas of instruction: o ServSafe® Manager o ServSafe® Food Handler o ServSafe® Alcohol o ServSafe® Allergens o ServSafe® Workplace • Administer ServSafe® Certification exams. • Offer food and alcohol safety training and certification exams created by foodservice professionals. • Maintain and supervise proper use of products, supplies, implements, and equipment. • Teach the program online or in a classroom.QUALIFICATIONS: Must be certified to teach the ServSafe® Program. Must possess or obtain NYS Adult Education Certification. A minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching culinary arts or ServSafe® in Adult Education is desirable.START DATE: ASAP (20-hour program offered throughout the year as needed.
