TITLE: Heavy Equipment Teacher Certified Position Full-time, 10-Month Position Affiliation: Teacher’s Association Career and Technical Education Department Location: TST BOCES Campus DUTIES: Provide instruction in general and specific skills of Heavy Equipment Technology to high school students.Teach toward approved NYS curricula.Evaluate and advise students with regard to progress in general and technical skills using approved and accepted procedures.Organize and maintain lesson plans.Organize and maintain classroom/lab area necessary for safety and security.Administer National Industrial Standard skills assessments.Maintain and develop necessary student records.Work effectively with students, other teachers and staff. QUALIFICATIONS: New York State Teacher Certification in Agriculture Education or Vehicle Mechanical Repair (Including Heavy Equipment Repair 7-12). Previous teaching experience (including students with disabilities) is desirable. If none of these certification areas are held, must be able to qualify for CTE Certification in one of these areas with acceptable vocational experience. Must be a team player, have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Competent computer skills for instruction and management are necessary. START DATE: November 7th or as soon as possible SALARY: $50,000.00 (2022-2023 base salary), plus additional salary credit for appropriate prior experience, Masters Degree and Grad Credits.
