Duties (include but are not limited to):•Work with medically fragile children•Act as a consultant for health education•Maintain appropriate school and state statistical information•Interpret the health and developmental assessment to parents, teachers, administrators and other professionals•Participate in the development of Individual Educational Plans/504/EST•Delegates and supervises specific health care duties to designated person(s)•Provide health counseling to students, parents and school personnel as appropriate•Collaborate with other school personnel in monitoring, reporting and recommending changes for safety hazards and sanitary conditions in the school environment•Provide in-service for health related issues as needed•Provide health care services•Adhere to all District policies and regulationsAdditional Requirements:•Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from a nursing program accredited by the National League for Nursing (NLN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)•Current license as a RN in the State of Vermont•Eligible to hold Vermont Certification as a School Nurse (03-65) •Current certification in : CPR with AED and First Aid
