DESCRIPTION – •Serve as a liaison between the school, families and community agencies•Provide counseling and support to all students, as needed•Provide information regarding community services and resources to parents and staff•Consult with various teams such as EST, BST, 504 and EST to assist students•Present classroom curriculum such as Act 1, as determined by administration•Serve on school teams to represent student and family needs•Consult with parents and agencies to assist students, providing referrals when neededQUALIFICATIONS – •Master’s Degree in Human Services or related field•Experience working with youth and families•Understanding of community agencies such as DCF, UCS, Sunrise Family Services, PAVE, Homeless Coalition, etc.•Strong communication skills•Excellent organizational skills•Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with others
