Mt. Anthony Union Middle School is soliciting applicants to fill two Security Officer positions. The primary role is to provide a safe and secure environment for all staff, faculty, and students, by enforcing school policies and Vermont statutes. The Security Officer is a member of the Security Management Team, a unit working together to promote building relationships with faculty, students, and staff. Responsibilities Include:•Responding to calls for service when situations arise•Serving as a liaison for security issues to local law enforcement agencies and to the State’s Attorney’s office•Assisting in the development, implementation, review, and practice of campus lockdown policy•Assisting with evacuations and fire drillsAdditional requirements:Degree in criminal justice or related field preferred•Law enforcement experience preferred•Desire to work with young adults in an educational setting•Strong communication skills•Applicants should be comfortable and capable to stand on their feet for extended periods of time
