Duties: Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates the need for a Practical Nursing Instructor to facilitate learning for honors level high school students in the New Visions Health program. They will explore clinical and non-clinical health careers with rotations at Northwell/Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco, NY or NYP/Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital in Peekskill, NY. The Instructor will also teach Certified Nursing Aides and prepare students for the Nurses Aide certification through theory preparation as well as clinical rotations at area nursing homes.Qualifications: Must possess a New York State Education Department issued Practical Nursing, 7-12 certificate. Must also be a qualified RN or BSN with strong clinical experience.Characteristics Desired: Must have a positive, can-do attitude and be patient, empathetic, and flexible. Successful candidate must be committed to the BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
