Duties: Putnam|Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates an opening for a Leave Replacement School Psychologist to work with students with disabilities attending PNW BOCES programs. Depending upon assignments, duties may include completing psycho-educational assessments, providing indicated IEP individual and group counseling services, collaborating with other professionals and/or agencies that provide services, consulting with and providing support to special education teachers, completing Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans, working with students' families and support networks, providing referral and linking services for both students and families, assisting families in completing necessary applications for recommended services, and maintaining accurate documentation of services provided.Qualifications: NYS School Psychologist certification required. Preferred candidates will be bilingual and/or knowledge of MTSS systems DBT, behavior analysis preferred. Preferred candidates will also have their BCBA.Characteristics Desired: Extensive knowledge of approaches for students with autism, emotional disabilities, and/or multiple disabilities. Ability to positively manage student behavior in a school setting. Must be organized and have ability to work in multiple teams. Successful candidates must have a positive, can-do attitude and be committed to the BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
