Duties: Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES is seeking a dynamic and innovative Assistant Superintendent. This central office cabinet position will report to the Superintendent and responsibilities include, but are not limited to supervising:Career and Technical Education Special EducationAdult EducationThis position will carry a 4-Year probationary period.Qualifications: Candidates must submit a formal letter of interest and a current resume. NYS certification as a School District Administrator/School District Leader is required. Doctorate preferred.Characteristics Desired: The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:A dynamic leadership style with a proven track record as a successful school district administration;A vision and ability to help grow and expand current educational programs and services;A proven ability to create cutting edge programs and services;An ability to identify, recommend, and help achieve organizational goals and priorities as determined by the District Superintendent and BOCES Board;A knowledge of district policies administration and procedures relative to educational programs, and an ability to recommend modifications to policies when needed;An ability to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws/regulations;An ability to identify and promote relevant and meaningful professional development opportunities to staff members under supervision;A deep knowledge of New York State Learning Standards and requirements for professional performance reviews.An ability to display strong communication skills with excellent writing and public speaking capabilities;An ability to work collaboratively with other BOCES leaders and district partners to help achieve optimal departmental results;A positive, can-do attitude and unwavering commitment to the BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.An extremely competitive benefits package will be offered with a salary range of $200,000-$215,000.
