Duties: Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates the opening for a Leave Replacement from October 3, 2022 through December 9, 2022 to teach cosmetology to high school students. Candidate must be able to work with advanced students as well as students with special needs. Candidate must be able to collaborate with other Tech Center teachers to develop integrated projects, new programs and/or initiatives.Qualifications: New York State Cosmetology 7-12 certificate. Those with 4+ years of documented work experience in the field of cosmetology are strongly encouraged to apply.Characteristics Desired: Candidate must have a positive, can-do attitude and be able to develop rigorous and relevant lessons in Cosmetology for a wide range of students with varying levels of cognitive abilities. Candidate must be able to collaborate with other Tech Center teachers. Prior teaching experience preferred.
