As part of OLAS for K-12 Education's service, we maintain a directory of experienced school leaders that are available for interim school business leader assignments with participating schools and districts across New York state and the surrounding areas of Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Vermont. These experienced school leaders often times play a critical role in ensuring a smooth transition during the search for a permanent school business leader and have varied responsibilities as defined by the participating district with the need. Responsibilities for the role of interim school business leader, may include but are not limited to: • Oversee district financial operations, internal/external audits and budgeting • Manage facilities, technology, and/or personnel • Implement related strategic plans and/or policies • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations • Foster positive relationships with district and community stakeholders• Support the educational programs and instructional leaders Qualifications for the role of interim school business leader, may include but are not limited to: • Valid NYS School District Administrator (SDA) or School District Business Leader (SDBL) certificate • Previous experience as a successful school business leader Excellent communication and leadership abilities • Knowledge of educational laws, regulations, and state/federal reporting• Strong financial management, organizational and presentation skills • Knowledge of educational laws and regulations Note: This posting is not an offer of employment.
