As part of OLAS for K-12 Education's service, we maintain a directory of experienced school leaders that are available for interim curriculum and instruction leadership assignments with participating schools and districts across New York state and the surrounding areas of Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Vermont. These experienced administrators play a critical role in ensuring a smooth transition during the search for a permanent leader of curriculum and instruction and have varied responsibilities as defined by the participating school or district with the need. Responsibilities for the role of interim Leader of Curriculum and Instruction, may include but are not limited to: Oversight of curriculum, instruction, and assessment initiatives. Management and implementation of the district’s professional development plan Development and supervision of curriculum planning, implementation, and annual teacher and administrator observation activities. Conducting classroom observations and visitations to assess curricular program implementation/effectiveness, teacher performance, and student engagement. Oversight and coordination of the procurement, implementation, and evaluation of instructional resources in collaboration with various district stakeholders. Fostering positive relationships with district and community stakeholders Qualifications for the role of interim leader of curriculum and instruction, may include but are not limited to: NYS School Administrator Certificate (SDL/SDA) or pending reciprocity Previous experience as a successful school leader for curriculum, instruction and assessmentExcellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
