As part of OLAS for K-12 Education's service, we maintain a directory of experienced school leaders that are available for interim superintendent assignments with participating schools and districts across New York state and the surrounding areas of Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Vermont. These experienced school leaders play a critical role in ensuring a smooth transition during the search for a permanent superintendent and have varied responsibilities as defined by the participating school or district with the need. Responsibilities for the role of interim superintendent, may include but are not limited to: · Oversee daily operations and capital projects· Support educational programs and student outcomes· Foster positive relationships with stakeholders· Communicate district status effectively· Manage recruitment and transition processes· Provide strategic leadership and guidance Qualifications for the role of interim superintendent may include but are not limited to: · NYS School Administrator Certificate (SDL/SDA) or pending reciprocity· Previous experience as a successful superintendent of schools· Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills· Knowledge of school finance and budget processes· Experience with capital projects and community engagement Note: This posting is not an offer of employment.
