Malverne School District anticipates a full time, elementary school position for the 2024 – 2025 school year.REQUIREMENTS: Valid NYS Teacher certification in Art Education Strong background in visual arts and technology Full NYS fingerprint clearanceESSENTIAL DUTIES:Plan and teach engaging, elementary art lessons aligned with Malverne's standards and progressive pedagogical philosophyDemonstrate visual art concepts using models, available technology methods, and other standard or teacher-prepared instructional aidesMaintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and developmentParticipate in department, school, district meetings and professional development activitiesFoster and maintain effective communication with parents and/or guardiansEstablish a positive classroom environment through proactive methods, a clear management system, and strong student rapportDemonstrate a relentless commitment to ensuring all students succeed at the highest levelsWork as part of the school community, be collaborative, and become a valued team memberPerform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor, Principal, or other appropriate administrator
