Malverne School District anticipates a full time, probationary position for the 2025 – 2026 school year.REQUIREMENTS: Valid NYS Teacher certification in Students with Disabilities (1-6).B-2 extension preferred but not required.Full NYS fingerprint clearance.Special Education Classroom experience preferred ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Plan and teach specially designed instruction to students with disabilities based on the needs identified on the IEP.An understanding of Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP).Create IEPs focusing on student strength and developing measurable goals.Participate in department, school, district meetings and professional development activities.Foster and maintain effective communication with parents/guardians/caretakers.Establish a positive classroom environment through proactive methods, a clear management system, and strong student rapport.Demonstrate commitment to ensuring all students succeed at the highest levels.Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Chairperson, Principal, or other appropriate administrator.
