Summary:Now more than ever, technology is a powerful tool that can support instruction across all subject areas to enhance teaching and learning. Millbrook CSD is currently seeking an Instructional Technology Specialist to be the lead teacher responsible for promoting the use of instructional technologies supporting student achievement in our Pre-K-12 classrooms. By collaborating with appropriate instructional and technical staff, the Instructional Technology Specialist will be a critical resource for our educators to optimize the use of instructional software and equipment in supporting quality teaching and learning. General Job Responsibilities: Works with teachers to develop and bolster their technology skills. Models innovative technology integration strategies across content areas to enhance instruction. Assists classroom teachers in utilizing technology that best aligns with district goals aligned with the current and forthcoming learning standards for Computer Science and Digital Fluency. Provides classroom management strategies to use when integrating technology. Designs and schedules professional development sessions in collaboration with administrators. Maintains a log of activities and program records, making it available to their supervising administrator. Develops and maintains a repository of digital resources. Promotes and models digital citizenship (i.e., digital etiquette, digital literacy, digital access).
