ANTICIPATED VACANCY School Psychologist Key Responsibilities:Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and interpret results for students.Participate in CSE meetings, team meetings, and problem-solving meetings.Write initial IEPs and update sections at minimum annually.Provide individual, group, and parent counseling and training per IEP requirements.Make recommendations to the CSE to support the placement of students in their least restrictive environment. Conduct program searches for students requiring out of district placements.Lead crisis intervention efforts.Provide insight into the development of functional behavioral assessments and behavior intervention plans.Integrate counseling services into the classroom environment, as appropriate.Provide assistance to staff in the design and implementation of appropriate interventions and accommodations for students.Contribute to program development that furthers the integration of social, coping, and problem solving in the classroom. (Participate in preventative social-emotional learning).Provide support services to parents/guardians as needed.Coordinate and/or collaborate with a range of individuals and outside agencies to promote and provide comprehensive services to students and families.Provide and/or assist in professional development for staff, parents, and/or community.Participate in professional growth activities on a yearly basis including workshops, in-services, professional reading materials, and/or other available offerings by the district and other providers.Proficiently use technology to communicate, compile reports, and collect data, create initial IEPs and update annually.Participate in building or program activities and meetings as appropriate.
