Position – Full-time (1.0 FTE) Secondary Vocal Music Teacher (6-12):One (1) full-time (1.0 FTE) tenure-track position beginning on or around December 18, 2023Salary & Benefits pursuant to MTA Agreement. Certification:NYS Music K-12 certification (required) The successful candidate will:Have teaching experience, especially with secondary (6-12) vocal music instruction;Have general music teaching experience;Ability to work with a variety of vocal performance groups;Have good classroom management skills, especially for large group instruction;Be positive, enthusiastic, & have a broad depth of knowledge of instructional strategies;Work collaboratively with other teachers;Identify & participate in opportunities to expand his/her skills through professional development;Willingness to work with school musical and/or drama productions.
