Elementary AIS Teacher – Long Term LeaveMenands School is accepting applications for an Elementary AIS Teacher to fill a long term leave, commencing on April 21,2025 through November 28, 2025. The ideal candidate will hold NYS teacher certification in grades 1-6 or comparable. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience providing AIS instruction.Job Responsibilities & Roles include, but are not limited to:Develop and administer curriculum consistent with Next Generation Learning Standards using best practices.Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning, using both a push in and a pull out model.Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and translate lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction.Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning, and modify instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needsMaintain a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities and achievement.Collaborates and plans interventions and instruction with grade level teachers and teams.Analyze individual student data to develop targeted interventions as part of the Instructional Support Team.Given the duration of this leave, the successful candidate will be placed on the salary schedule of the Menands Association of Teachers and be eligible for benefits.
