With a population of approximately 300 students, Menands Union Free School District is a unique PreK-8 school and district. We are a very supportive school community, and work collaboratively to meet the diverse needs of our students in a nurturing environment. Menands School is accepting applications for a full time position for the 2025-26 school year for a Library Media Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction to students in grades K-6 and providing oversight and management of our Library Media Center. Applicants must possess NYS certification, as a Library Media Specialist or must be qualified to apply for certification within one year. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience, working knowledge of instructional technology, experience with project based learning, and who are willing to become involved in extracurricular activities and be a contributing member of the school community.The select candidate will enjoy the salary and the benefits defined in the most current collective bargaining agreement with the Menands Association of teachers.Qualified, interested candidates should apply via OLAS with a job specific cover letter, resume and other supporting documentation.
