Position: PRESCHOOL TEACHERDepartment: Teaching & LearningSupervisor(s): Early Learning Center PrincipalFLSA Status: Exempt Position Type: Full-time, 10-month, Benefits EligibleCFR Code: 263Date Posted: September 12, 2023Salary Range: $48,211 - $118,978 POSITION SUMMARY: The Preschool Teacher will teach and prepare children for kindergarten using various teaching methods and techniques such as storytelling, games, and visual arts to teach basic social skills and learning concepts. The Preschool Teacher for our autistic classroom will use internal and external resources to provide an enriching educational experience, for those students and will demonstrate patience, and understanding of the diverse needs in the classroom. PRIMARY DUTIES: Create lesson and unit plans to teach students a subject, carrying out that focus on different areas of child development.Develop and implement a solid motivating curriculum for preschool students. Modify lesson plans and materials to make them suitable for students’ current learning levels. Use integrated technology to support instruction (Schoology and Google) Develop teaching and learning materials for use in class, including lesson plans, projects, communication planning and communication with families and assignments that use all student skills. Maintain relationships with families and legal guardians of students to keep them informed of their child’s progress. Work with students individually to help them overcome specific learning challenges.Supervise students outside of the classroom—for example, during recess, field trips, or school-related events. Monitor and track student progress. Knowledge of IEPs.Work collaboratively with other teachers and administrators, including related service providers, to provide individualized support for each student regularly. Collaborate with other teachers to share best practices and provide meaningful feedback regularly. Create and enforce a culture of positive learning, respect, and rapport.
