Title: PBIS Supervisor Supervises: School Counselors and Behavioral SpecialistsReports to: Director of Student and Family EngagementFLSA Status: Exempt Position Type: Full time/10-month position – Benefit Eligible Monday to Friday: 7:55 a.m.-4:00 p.m. CFR: 290Date: September 2023Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 Essential Functions:Student ServicesCarry a caseload of 5-7 studentsAssign caseload for individual and group counseling Review counselors’ documentations - clinical notes, students’ charts, and IEP paperwork Track behavior log including use of Time Out RoomDeliver Social, Emotional, Learning (SEL) opportunitiesCoordinate Blue Brights program (Student Ambassadors) Implement and monitor student policies and proceduresManage conflict resolution for all studentsEnforce Child Safety and Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) mandatesCoordinate the Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) & Behavioral Intervention Plan (BIP)Conduct student intervention meetingsCoordinate mental health evaluation summariesCoordinate psychiatric referrals and evaluations with the Lexington Mental Health Center and/or linkage with community agenciesCoordinate potential school counseling & social work interns for colleges/universitiesAssess School Wide Information System (SWIS) dataCollaborate with Upper School Principal, Lower School Principal, and Supervisor of Professional Development & Assessment Serve as a member of the Lexington Leadership Council (LLC)Knowledge, skills & Abilities:Knowledge of deaf communityAmerican Sign Language proficiencySchool experience working with children and education facultyAdministrative experienceExperience working with families Qualifications:Masters of Social Work or CounselingNYS LMSW/LCSW or NCC/LMHC, preferredNYSED School Counselor Permanent Certificate or School Social Worker Permanent CertificateNYS School Building Leader (SBL) certificate, preferred Characteristics:Demonstrate commitment to the school vision and missionCommitment to be flexible and open to updated and on-going research in the field of Deaf Education and data-based decision-makingRecognition of self as a learner, able to identify areas for growth and commitment to working in these areas Security ClearanceRequired clearances include medical clearance, fingerprinted by the NYC Board of Ed and SCR and SEL clearance Available: Immediately Open until FilledTo Apply, Contact:HRDept@lexnyc.org or 718.350.3027Please indicate “PBIS Supervisor” in subject line EOE
