In operation since 1969, Jowonio is a not-for-profit inclusive school program serving preschool aged children with a wide range of abilities. In our classrooms, typically developing children and children with special needs learn side by side, experiencing an engaging early childhood curriculum, with individualized adaptations to ensure access to participation for all students. At Jowonio, diversity is celebrated, and all are free to learn and grow.Jowonio School is seeking a Full or Part-time School Psychologist. Responsibilities include:conducting/facilitating collaborative multidisciplinary evaluations to determine eligibility for preschool special education servicescoordinating Functional Behavioral Assessment and Behavior Intervention Plansparticipating in evaluation team and family meetings,providing individual counseling/intervention as warrantedThe opportunity exists to expand the role to include:mentoring/support to an individual classroom around clinical issues, IEP coordination, and school district contactsproviding support for familiesacting as a liaison to our administrative team.Job Type: 3-5 days/weekSchedule: Full time salary based on a 37.5 hour work week, generally 8:15 am - 3 pm, with some after-school meetings; Part time hours negotiable; school calendar with some summer hoursCertification: NY State certification as a School Psychologist, or NY State licensure as a clinical psychologist is required for this position.
