The Harborfields Central School District is seeking dependable and hardworking individuals to join our facilities team as Substitute Custodians. Substitute custodians play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and community.Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):General cleaning of classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.Emptying trash and recycling receptacles.Assisting with setup and breakdown of school events.Performing light maintenance and reporting repair needs.Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Prior custodial, cleaning, or maintenance experience preferred but not required.Ability to lift, carry, and move objects and equipment as required.Dependability, flexibility, and strong work ethic.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Compensation & Schedule:Competitive hourly rate.On-call, as-needed basis; assignments may vary across district buildings.Opportunity to gain experience for potential full-time openings.Application Procedure: Interested candidates should submit an application via OLAS, including a resume and at least two professional references.
