Harborfields Central School District is seeking a friendly, dependable, and student-centered Paraprofessional / Greeter for Oldfield Middle School. This role is essential in supporting a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and families. The successful candidate will serve as one of the first points of contact for visitors while also assisting with student supervision and daily school operations.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Greeting students, staff, and visitors at the main entrance in a warm, professional manner • Monitoring building entryways and following all visitor management and safety procedures • Assisting with hallway, cafeteria, and common-area supervision as assigned • Providing clerical or instructional support under the direction of school administration • Assisting students with questions, directions, and general support as needed • Maintaining a calm and positive presence during high-traffic times such as arrival and dismissal • Communicating effectively with administrators, teachers, and families • Reporting concerns or unusual activity promptly to the appropriate staffQualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required • Prior experience working in a school or youth-related setting preferred • Excellent interpersonal and customer-service skills • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact respectfully with students, families, and staff • Dependability, professionalism, and a commitment to student well-beingInterested canadidates should apply on OLAS and submit: • Letter of interest (addressed to Milton Josephs, Executive Director of Human Resources)• ResumeLocation: Oldfield Middle SchoolHours: 7:00 am – 3:00 pmDiverse and bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.New York State Education Department Fingerprint Clearance required.
