To learn more about working at Harborfields Central School District, click on this link: https://tinyurl.com/5c3r4srj Harborfields Central School District is seeking a dedicated, caring, and student-centered Anticipated Short-Term Leave Replacement Speech Teacher to join our team at Washington Drive Primary School at the beginning of the 2026–2027 school year, approximately September 1, 2026 through November 24, 2026. The successful candidate will provide instruction and support to students in a warm, nurturing, and inclusive primary school environment. Qualifications: Candidates should possess: Valid New York State certification. Experience at the primary level. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Ability to support students academically, socially, and emotionally in a primary school setting Responsibilities Include but are not limited to: Provide speech and language services in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) either in individualized or group settings Conduct evaluations and screenings to identify students with speech/language needs and monitor their progress Develop and implement individualized and small-group therapy plans aligned to student needs Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, AIS, and Pupil Personnel Services staff to support student progress Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements Communicate effectively and professionally with families regarding student progress and services Using student data to inform instruction and monitor progress Creating a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive learning environment Application Procedure: Interested candidates should apply through OLAS with a cover letter and resume addressed to Mr. Milton Josephs, Executive Director of Human Resources.
